Duties & Responsibilities
- Receive training on how to perform routine analysis in the laboratory and adherence to procedures and complying with specifications.
- Daily Monitoring of water, media prep, Verifications of pH, Balances and other Lab Equipment as per schedule.
- Learn the required Lab standards and routine work
- Learn to keep equipment and electrodes clean and in proper working order. Learn about equipment operations and basic troubleshooting.
- Report malfunctions to a Senior promptly.
- Ensure that work areas are organized and present.
- Ensure all the documents generated are verified.
Key Responsibilities
- Obtain all the skills required to ensure multi -skilled Analysts irrespective of Lab environment
- Manage, monitor performance of the Daily verified equipment.
- Ensure understanding and adherence to safety health and environmental requirements and GLP
- Sampling and testing of water and trending of results for evaluation and development of robust preventative processes for OOS results.
- Collecting, Analyzing and Trending of Micro data.
Overall Objective
- Ensure that the Trainee understands the basic requirements of being a qualified Analyst in the working field, as well as adapting to the working environment.
- To ensure that all equipment used are compliant and to understand the OOS investigation techniques.
- To ensure that the University has a record of all the work performed to be able to assess if the Trainee can be deemed competent.
- Ensure understanding of and importance of compliance to standards and requirements.

- Recent Graduate in Bsc in Microbiology/Chemistry or major in Microbiology
- Required to complete training post university/diploma
