Duties & Responsibilities
RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide care and treatment to clients in TB programmes at primary healthcare facilities and on Mobile X-ray Vehicles
Provide clinical and adherence support to clients with treatment failure in the TBprogramme
Review and diagnostic support of chest radiographs of paediatric and high-risk clientsconducted by Mobile X-Ray team.
Provide training and on-site mentoring to DOH staff.
Management of the X-ray team which includes line management of radiographers.
Management of the Mobile X-ray facility/community schedule
Desired Experience & Qualification
REQUIREMENTS
MBChB degree or equivalent
Valid Driver’s License and willingness to travel
Professional body registration
Medical Protection Society (MPS) cover
Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) registration
Two years of relevant experience
Experience/knowledge in Primary Health care/ community health, Tuberculosis, HIVand AIDS
Certification in Tuberculosis Management
Strong counselling skills. Good organisational and administrative skills
Ability to handle a varied, busy, and pressurized workload with competing demandson time
Self-motivated, able to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Proven communication skills
